Assemblage 23 Identity sometimes seems fleeting The very essence of our being An everBut at it's heart is the foundation (Ch) Cast off your chains Shed your skin And wash away the pain Feel the sun upon your face for once Shed your skin Be who you are Unencumbered by the weight Of hiding every little scar But what happens when you turn the lights on A mere projection on a screen At times the self seems in transition And things are not as they once seemed?
